GOAL

It is Deborah’s aim to attend the 2007 World University Championships in Lima Peru, not only with the goal of
winning her first World Championship Medal, but also equally important, as part of her continuing preparations
towards the IWF World Championships and ultimately the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

If as expected, the AWF are unable to fund a team, (please refer to attachment 2 – AWF Email – Peter Cayley AWF
High Performance Manager 29/3/06) then Deborah would be without a coach or team manager to assist her in the final
preparations for and during the competition itself.

This situation would not be acceptable and it is why I have made myself available to assist Deborah for this important
competition and preparation towards becoming Australia’s first female weightlifter to represent at two Olympic Games.
Deborah is a highly talented and dedicated athlete who will always give 100% of herself in all her endeavours. This was confirmed when she was
named Queensland Sports Winner for the Young Australian of the Year in 2002. She is highly respected by all those who come in contact with
her in all aspects of her life. She is a gifted public speaker who has a unique and humorous way of looking at life and the situations that we all
find ourselves in.

Deborah would be an excellent representative for any organisation wishing to assist her.
